From Julie Rubaud, Red Wagon Plants
Greetings!
Our plant donations are underway! Happy spring to all of you and thanks for all the good work you do in the community.
Free Plants for Good Causes
Every year, we give away thousands of plants to non-profits, clubs, and groups doing gardening in a way that benefits the community. We dedicate an area near our compost pile for these free plants to be picked up by people doing civic minded gardening projects. Please keep in mind that these plants are not for personal use, but for designated public, civic, or community benefit.
We are open every day from 8 to 6.
Please introduce yourself to someone working in our retail greenhouse and let us know what organization you are coming from.
Also, please help us keep the area clean. Bring your own trays, and don't leave plants out of trays, it makes them fall over and creates a lot of work for us.
If you see some plants that are obviously dead or beyond fixing, please take a minute to throw them out into the compost. We can only keep offering these plants if everyone lends a hand to help us maintain the "Free Plants for Good Causes" area.
Free plants are first come - first served, and we cannot take the time to let you know what is in the free area at any given point, so please don't call with those types of questions.
We love to give out our extra plants, but it can only continue if it does not take up too much of our incredible staff's time.
Thanks for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Julie Rubaud, owner, Red Wagon Plants
